FULL-TIME: CHELSEA 2 CRYSTAL PALACE 0
That’s it. Goals from Mount and Loftus-Cheek take Chelsea through to a third consecutive FA Cup final. Next up, Thomas Tuchel’s post-match press conference – more live updates to follow.

CLOSE! Into stoppage time and Lukaku hits the post from close range after being teed up by Werner.
17/04/2022 6:17 pm
Palace have also made a change. Kouyate off, Milivojevic on.
17/04/2022 6:13 pm
Final change for Chelsea: Silva is on for Christensen.
17/04/2022 6:10 pm
There was a loving embrace for Mason Mount from his boss Thomas Tuchel as the England midfielder came off just then. Mount has had a fine game and took his goal superbly.
17/04/2022 6:10 pm
MISS! Andersen misses a glorious chance to pull a goal back, heading over at the far post after a corner is flicked on.
17/04/2022 6:09 pm
It’s Mount last kick: he’s off along with Jorginho and Havertz. Ziyech, Kante and and Lukaku on.
17/04/2022 6:07 pm
GOAL: CHELSEA 2 CRYSTAL PALACE 0 (Mount, 75 mins)
Mount doubles Chelsea’s lead, calmly slotting past keeper Butland after collecting Werner’s pass.
17/04/2022 6:06 pm
What a hit from Ruben Loftis-Cheek that was. Chelsea fans have been outsung by their Palace counterparts so far, no doubt about it. But that eruption of noise was spectacularly loud. And they continue to be in good voice as they serenade the hugely popular figure of Thiago, who is warming up.
17/04/2022 6:05 pm
17/04/2022 6:04 pm
Palace boss Vieira responds with a double change: Benteke and Olise on for Schlupp and McArthur.
17/04/2022 5:57 pm
GOAL: CHELSEA 1 CRYSTAL PALACE 0 (Loftus-Cheek, 64 mins)
Chelsea lead – courtesy of Loftus-Cheek’s first goal for three years. It comes after Mitchell stumbles and is robbed by Havertz. And after Havertz’s centre is cleared as far as Loftus-Cheek, the former Palace loanee’s shot goes in via a deflection off Andersen.
17/04/2022 5:52 pm
CHANCE! A big scare for Chelsea as Eze’s left-wing corner is headed wide by Kouyate.
17/04/2022 5:51 pm
An hour gone at Wembley. Still goalless.
17/04/2022 5:46 pm
Change by Palace 10 minutes into the second half: Ayew for Mateta.
17/04/2022 5:44 pm
CLOSE! Loftus-Cheek threads a pass through to Werner, who is nudged off the ball by Kouyate. VAR shows no penalty. Rudiger then shoots well wide from 35 yards. Much better from Chelsea now.
17/04/2022 5:42 pm
This looks a bit more like it from Chelsea early in the second half. Mount sends a shot way over the bar, but the approach play is decent, with Thomas Tuchel’s side playing with more intensity and knocking the ball around nicely.
17/04/2022 5:37 pm
We’re into the second half here at Wembley.
17/04/2022 5:31 pm
Chelsea have created very little so far. But Timo Werner has at least looked looked lively and is clearly playing with far greater confidence after a couple of decent performances. Mason Mount is his usual busy self. Can those two make something happen for Kai Havertz?
17/04/2022 5:21 pm
Half-time: Chelsea 0 Crystal Palace 0
Half-time at Wembley. Palace will be happy with how it’s gone so far. They’ve had plenty of the ball and have stifled Chelsea, who haven’t really got going.
17/04/2022 5:19 pm
We’re into two minutes of stoppage time at the end of the first half.
17/04/2022 5:12 pm
Havertz is booked after going down in the area looking for a penalty after a non-challenge from Guehi. No contact. A clear dive. Right decision.
17/04/2022 5:10 pm
CLOSE! Kouyate’s shot is pushed away by keeper Mendy. Anderson fires the rebound against the near post but was offside in any case.
17/04/2022 4:59 pm
So after 25 minutes at Wembley, Chelsea are forced to make a change. Loftus-Cheek is on for the injured Kovacic.
17/04/2022 4:56 pm
Kovacic is limping and Ruben Loftus-Cheek is preparing to come on for Chelsea.
17/04/2022 4:46 pm
James almost finds Werner with a low ball forward, but Palace’s former Fulham defender Anderson anticipates the danger and clears.
17/04/2022 4:44 pm
Decent spell for Chelsea. Former QPR star Eze gives the ball away, the Blues probe but Palace’s defence stand firm and a speculative long-range attempt by Mount is gathered by keeper Butland.
17/04/2022 4:36 pm
Palace with most of the possession in the opening minutes. They’ve settled well.
17/04/2022 4:33 pm
Palace get us started. We’re off and running at Wembley.
17/04/2022 4:29 pm
The teams are out at Wembley, the atmosphere is superb, and we’ll soon be under way.
17/04/2022 4:09 pm
Will we see this man in action today?
17/04/2022 4:06 pm
Joe and his son Max, 9, are in place for young Max’s first trip to Wembley. He’s feeling confident and hopes his favourite player, Mason Mount, gets a goal today.

Team news: Three Chelsea changes
Reece James and Cesar Azpilicueta both start for Chelsea, while Andreas Christensen gets the nod ahead of Thiago Silva.
Silva is joined among the substitutes by the fit-again Romelu Lukaku. Timo Werner keeps his place in attack.
There are three changes from the team which started against Real Madrid in the Champions League. Azpilicueta, Christensen and Jorginho come in for Silva, N’Golo Kante and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
For Palace, Tyrick Mitchell has been passed fit after a calf problem, while Michael Olise, who has been nursing a foot injury, is on the bench.
Stand by for those line-ups. We’ll be able to give you them very shortly.

Tuchel stands by Guehi sale
Chelsea won’t face Conor Gallagher today, having denied Palace permission to field the on-loan Blues midfielder. But they are set to come up against Marc Guehi, who has impressed – and earned an England call-up – since being sold to Eagles.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was asked at his pre-match press conference about the decisions to sell Guehi to Palace and Tino Livramento to Southampton. He stood by both decisions and insisted they wanted new challenges.
“It’s a decision we took together and we are happy about these decisions,” Tuchel said.
“You cannot go back and reflect, because at the point where we took the decision it was the right thing to do given the circumstances.
“For Marc it is a fantastic development and it’s very hard or maybe even impossible to say that if we kept him he would have been better, worse or the same because maybe he needed exactly that.
“Maybe he needed the change of environment, maybe he needed a different club, maybe he needed a bigger role and more minutes to develop his full potential.”

Lukaku to return to action?
Romelu Lukaku was out of favour before picking up an Achilles injury but could return to the Chelsea ranks today after resuming training this week. His fitness was due to be assessed before the game. Callum Hudson-Odoi, meanwhile, is still out.
