The federal government says it has commenced the payment of outstanding allowance to batch C Stream 1 beneficiaries participating in the npower programme, Newsbreak.ng reports.
The National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS) disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.
The beneficiaries are owed January, February and March stipends.
This is a confirmation update for the commencement of January 2022 payment for graduate beneficiaries that moved to PROCESSING STAGE yesterday 12 April, 2022. The above payment is expected to commence today. However, we assure all backlog payments initiated same day for non-graduate beneficiaries shall follow suit soon.

Npower batch C is divided into 2 streams: Stream C1 of 510,000 beneficiaries and stream C2 for 490,000 beneficiaries (yet to be enrolled).
Under the Batch C1, a total of 450,000 were selected to benefit under the graduate component, while 60,000 beneficiaries are non-graduate beneficiaries.
Established in 2016, the npower scheme is targeted at unemployed graduates who are engaged by the government to receive N30, 000 monthly stipends.
